I won’t say cronies per se; your voting bloc might not be consisted solely of people who support you out of personal relations. As I said, a bloc is a group with similar interests, which might converge at this election but not necessarily at other points in time.

Hmm… Not sure what I should say actually but thought I somewhat detected a sense of latent disappointment in your remarks about the PSSoc elections.

Well, I must admit, I can’t really recall what happened at the elections.

But that’s sortof the point, isn’t it? I mean, you tried your best at the elections but you didn’t win… But you did your best… Forget about it and move on…

Apologise pre-emptively if I misinterpreted your comments about the PSSoc elections. If I did misinterpret your comments, do just disregard whatever I have said above.

Haha, no it doesn’t.

A bloc is a group of people with similar interest or goals. So a voting bloc is a group of people who will vote in a particular manner; in the case of this article, for you.

Haha actually I was in the same situation as you when I was running for JCRC. Very few people in hall knew me but I had a vision, and a very experienced senior advisor who taught me how to get my voting bloc, speak to all the relevant people etc to get all the support needed to win the elections.
